Title.
Pretty much, I found a BS2 in a scrap pile and I have some projects I'm already working on, I'm not really familiar with microcontrollers or how to even program them, if anyone could help me out or just link some helpful videos (couldn't find any for some reason) that would be great!

I think "What's a Microcontroller?" is what you are looking for.

The materials above are a great reference, but you will need a way to program it. It requires RS232 levels for programming, you can use a USB to Serial dongle if your computer doesn't have a serial port. Do you have a board like a Board of Education (serial,USB) or similar, or a breadboard? You can build your own RS232 connection if you have the serial port and cable too, but it's easier if you have a pre-built board.
Now I use the ones from Parallax. For this computer, and the one before it, I did use end up using USB to RS232 serial devices also from Parallax.

Hi. I am in the same boat as you (find my thread under BASIC STAMP 2). A great help for me was to get CHROME BROWSER and the PARALLAX APP for Chrome. I am using Linux, and it was simple to start using - two fast and clean download/installs. Click the big "+" and he app "finds" the COMM port, and hopefully identifies your board, and starts a project for you.
