Monitoring Temp and sending email alert

I want to monitor the temperature of my CO2 lasers coolant. I would like to be able to send an email if the temp gets too cold. I was just reading this thread and it looked very interesting and promising.

I created an account for the IFTTT.com site, once I logged in and tried to navigate the site I got lost!
Has anyone tried this lately on IFTTT.com

I would like to use the WX wifi module for this.

Does anyone have any advice on how to achieve this?
