BS2 DEBUG Terminal using a Propeller

I've seen some discussion about this being possible and that the long discontinued Propeller Backpack could do this but has anyone done this with a standard Parallax board.

I have a Demo board and I have the older Activity board along with the also discontinued VGA plug-in module.

Also is it possible to connect directly to the BS2 programming port since all of my BS2 boards are serial?

You might be able to, using the BS2 serial schematics. Simply connect propeller pins to a USB2Ser adapter.
