How is speed controlled with this DC motor board?

Should have looked first.Anyhow here's some info.

Take a look at Activity #2 of Chapter 5 in Process Control on page 141 (151 in the PDF).

Just figured out the IC on DC motor board is same one we got from Parallax.
I don't remember getting a DC motor from Parallax.
Can't think of what it is used for in Parallax lessons right at the moment.
That IC is commonly used to drive bipolar stepper motors.
Thought of why PWM sounds familiar.
Is hardware PWM in a CCP more serious than software PWM?
Guess the thing to get is standalone CCP module.Maybe.
Got to the bottom of CCP modules.
That is a whole subfield of using micro's.
Off the table for now.
Software PWM is just fine.
What!
The DC Motor mini board does cost more than 77 cents but you just connect it and it's ready.
We have enough to do figuring out PWM.
H bridges are handy to have around.Thanks.
