Make S4 LEGO Compatible
S3 is fabulous in every way. What a super robot. There are only two improvements that come to mind. One easy, one very hard.
First, add LEGO pegs to the top. Everyone else does (Edison robot shown). No added license or royalty expense if you don't say "LEGO". Easy mold change, no welding, just removing mold material. Will simplify adding pen lifters, Pings, servos, arms, rocket launchers, whatever. No drawbacks at all, LEGO isn't just for kids any more, and modularity sells. So much better than using foam tape to attach servos. Start cutting steel now, we wouldn't even mind seeing some S3s with LEGO pegs. You can mock this up by attaching thin LEGO baseplates atop an existing S3. Second, improve line following by moving the sensors further forward. Easy to say, hard to do. Huge mold changes required, tremendous expense, questionable ROI. I mention this mainly to underscore what an easy win-win the LEGO pegs are.
