Elev-8 V3 and V2 update

Got the V3 built first with my daughter, using a Radiolink AT10 II radio setup and having a good time learning. Definitely not your garden variety drones from Fry's! haha

Here's the V2 we got and our friend Curtis built. We ended up deciding on a Pixhawk flight controller to run it since he wants to dabble in some videography and autonomous flying. Maiden flight today! :cool: That Pixhawk is using a Neo-M8 GPS, extremely stable hover.



And here's one of Curtis getting her off the ground for the first time!

For my part, I decided to relieve Parallax of some of their V2 parts they're trying to get rid of, and build a custom hexacopter. Here's the stages so far:

And here's where the build is now, just waiting on the arrival of a flashing socket to get SimonK firmware on these old ESCs to put the rest together - hopefully this weekend!



Oh, and the coolest part - Curtis free-hand Dremel tooled this Parallax Hex into the clear base.
