Hurricane Harvey has done some major damage over last few days, and will do more damage over the next 24-48 hours. They will need our help just to get much needed food and medical supplies in the the area.
In know Parallax is keen on donations, so I list a few that I could come up with below. I did a Red Cross donation right now because they were in Texas two days ago to set up and they have already spent a lot of money just getting there and setting up.

I lived on Padre Island for a few years, and I know how serious the people are about hurricanes. And I know how stubborn some can be about evacuation, ending up at the local's bar commencing in a hurricane party.
Best wishes go out to Port Aransas and Rockport TX area, such a difficult situation playing out in slow motion now.
EDIT: It is Mustang Island that I lived on, not Padre. But you could drive the beach, and there's no physical distinction between the two.
EDIT2: Mayor of Port Aransas warned evacuees not to come back.
It looks to me like: there is going to be a lot of displaced people, most not knowing the whereabouts of family and friends. It looks like shelter will be the primary concern, after this is all assessed.

My wishes and prayers go out, but they need money for all the organizations that are doing the heavy lifting.
This is real bad.

This is really good. The merchant is doing the humanitarian thing by making sure the fuel and water are going to the people who truly need it the most. (as evidenced by the price willing to pay for it)

That's stepping up!
Didn't Salvation Army handle car donations after Katrina?

POS donations do not account for all the donations.

And there have been a lot of celebrities that have donated from $25,000 to $1,000,00 dollars.
Can you link to some info on that?
I seen it here:

Just my opinion FWIW.

We have this awesome new tool to see and understand these monster storms.

That is wonderful if people heed the warning, this is a mean looking storm.
Sister-in-law and husband decided to stick this one out just outside of Ocala.
