I got my second Coyote-1. I guess I need to start looking at what is involved with programming one. I'm also wondering if I can do something other than effects with this thing. It seems like an interesting platform for any audio work.

Ah, yeah, getting back to the original subject.
Sweet! Did you get that off of the Ebay posting? Please share your experience with it when you get a chance.
I got it from this auction:

There is still one available. I'll be happy to share my experience with it but I doubt I'll get to doing anything until after the holidays.
  • Apologies for veering off on the modelling tangent again but I just discovered that it is now possible to model the actual guitar.

Imagine playing a solid body electric and have it sound like a Martin D35 acoustic or a Gibson 335...Must have this!

Modelling never sounds like the real thing, it just hints at it, at best.

    Oh, OK, thanks!

I specifically went searching for this article because I remember it from when it was first published, almost nine years ago. Modeling has come a long way since these experts were only able to identify the real amps <40% of the time.

Amp modelling has improved, but have you tried those that try to model acoustic guitars (as that gizmo tries)?
  • Most are really bad but this is based on the same profiling technology as the Kemper. If the demo is anything to go by, this will be a very useful tool for live musicians who need to cover both electric and acoustic parts of a particular tune and need to be able to switch on the fly.

That D35 sound is good enough for me, not to mention the Dobro and 335.
I play solid body electric with a very low action and ridiculously light strings (. 007s) because I play fast and bend every string. I am really curious to hear what this is like with a D35 model...LOL.
