I don't know about that one. New Berlin,Il is pronounced Newberlin by the locals.

I should have said I live in the Western Reserve, which is the Connecticut Firelands land grant. And these are some of the community's I can think of near me that are of British origin. But only one I can think of is mispronounced. @Heater, recognize any of them?

We have roads named after the village twenty miles from here. The ice cream stand in the village is just named The Green Witch.
BTW: This is the Firelands, and we took alot of names from the New England area.

What more could you ask, when a laundromat is attached.
EDIT: Never used the laundry aspect, but have had a sundae, shake or banana split on the way through town.
Also that may be the only traditional old world English name, that got mangled in the process of this new world evolution.
