A stripped-down version of Win10, likened to the Chrome OS on Chromebooks. Only runs store apps, claims it's targeted at education but it seems like a Microsoft monopoly.

The hardware it targets sounds useful for students, well most students....
Those Students that write and share code, maybe less so, if they want to share EXE files.
I guess this hinges on how easy it is, to add free software into Microsoft's 'Store'

Windows is only Windows because of the ecosystem of legacy applications (not "apps"). 10S might appeal to those who just want to surf the web and read email, but then so would a Chromebook or hey their PHONE. This is not the dumbest idea Microsoft has ever had (anybody remember Bob? Anybody still using .NET?) But it's up there.
