Ties are a silly useless fashion item that devolved from a napkin. Adding flashing leds to it makes it even sillier imo.

Every time I'm forced to use one, it takes me a half hour to get it tied right. Sitting on a pile of hand me downs.

Beau's come back was very witty.

I would be more inclined to wear a belt, lit up in LEDs.

erco reminds me of a suspender man. Not that he doesn't have a waistline to keep his britches up. But combine that with the Beau tie, may get him a spot on late night TV.

EDIT: Is the Beau Tie stereo or mono?

    LOL

A belt would make more sense, as would a safety vest if you are out at night.

A segmented tie made of hinged PCBs could be even cooler, provided your suit color likes the PCB/mask color accents.

Perhaps. No more silly than tons of other fashion items I have seen going by over the years. A tie hides the buttons on your shirt.

A tie is like a flag that you fly to show your membership of or allegiance to this or that, the gentleman's club, the regiment, etc, etc.

We should celebrate the tie. And the cravat. Like Cédric Villani

Are you talking matching ribon cable?

  • lol - There was a reason I decided to design the VU's with 11 LEDs. With my OCD, it has always bothered me that you can't represent a true center position with an even number of LED's without hopping back and forth, So I decided on 11. Which created another problem on an IC that only has 12 - io's and no Analog input .... So I implemented a 1-pin Sigma delta ADC in software and was able to do so without any external amplification on a measly PIC16F54
