I'd call them craftsmen. I like making plywood robots, but now the shoe's on the other foot.

    Such robots are poised to take over the home-building industry. It makes complete sense to do pre-fab framing indoors in a controlled environment with automation, combined with accurate jigs and fixtures. Compare that with laying out and nailing a stud wall by hand outdoors in the wind and rain, and you get the picture.

    BTW, that one robot arm in the video with the rotary saw at the end is the stuff of horror-film nightmares!

    I was watching that one (rotary saw) waiting for the blade to hit the cable bundle - it looked awfully close a few times.
