Forum Glitch: Files Won't Attach

Mods: I couldn't attach a file to a post in Robotics just now. What's up?

Retried here again, same dealio. Upload goes to 100% then stalls, "waiting for Parallax.com"

    Reported to our WebDev team. Their highly skilled team of trained monkeys are no doubt throwing a bunch of bananas at the problem now! :thumb:

    Buy the new Prototype Jellyfish Board for all aquarium installations.

    Testing, but like from inside Parallax so maybe that's also an issue.
    I assume you tried just before posting this message?

    What size is this file, type of file, etc?

    Tech support broke their keyboards when they stuffed them with the left over banana skins, so I'll ask the questions.

    erco: Can you help us with a few details on this issue? The things that could cause problems with an upload are file size and the file extension. Also, if you can provide a date and time (including your time zone) when this happened, we can review logs to see what the servers are seeing when the upload attempt was made.

    I tried both PDF and JPEG with same results. Will try again now in Robotics and report back.

    Same result, just tried PDF and JPG files seperately at my "Barne's & Noble" post in Robotics.

    Status bar goes up to 100%, then "waiting for parallax.com" and the blue upload bar animates for a while. I let it go for 30-40 seconds, nothing.

    I'll try again and let it go longer.

    Edit: Tried uploading here, blue bar still animating 4 minutes later. Problem remains.

    Tested but still no joy here. Problem remains.

    I just tried IE10 instead of Chrome, same problem.

    I uploaded two different JPGs successfully in 2 robotics threads. Maybe something's hinky with my original 2 files, which still won't attach. Jim, if you're curious, PM me your email addy and I'll send you files via email so you can examine.

    AHA!

    Both files had an ampersand (B&N) in the name, which apparently your system doesn't accept. I renamed them sans the '&' and they uploaded here fine.
