Hey there,
Hello,
A long-known friend of the Parallax community has passed away. You may know Günther Daubach as a contributor starting from the days of the SX microcontroller. Günther was a kind German man who wrote "Programming the SX Microcontroller" which was published by Parallax, maybe 15 years ago. Some time later he took over the SX-Key manufacturing with Andre LaMothe to keep our SX customers happy and support a few of his own clients. We visited Günther at his home in Burscheid, Germany and Günther also stayed with us in California, too. His photo https://daubach-guenther.dgusv.de/
Günther really loved electronics and microcontrollers. He was the kind of engineer who'd keep track of every bit, every clock cycle, and find the most efficient ways to do things with the 50 MIPS SX chip. He also enjoyed playing old Wurlitzer organs and driving a BMW like many proper German guys. It is safe to say that he really enjoyed Parallax and the forums, too!
Rest in Peace, Günther. We appreciate all you left behind for us, too.
