Identify the items, win prizes!

booty.jpg

As a follow up to the "Heater Go America" thread I thought I'd post a pic of all the swag I dragged back over the pond.

Some of it is gear I managed to get the boss to buy whilst there, essential test gear right? Some of it is swag from the three Expos I attended in San Jose. Some is souvenirs. Some is gifts from people I met along the way.

Many items have a story behind them.

OK, I lied about the prizes. But you can always win cred by knowing your Fry's product range.

Edit: OK the skull in the picture did not come from the USA. That's Valtari. Valatari is kind of fun but he has a problem. He has no brain. I always thought a Propeller might do.

  • Nice haul! The most valuable items I see in the photo are the breadboard jumper wires. One can never have enough of them.

    Nice haul! I just hauled in a pretty good deal myself, a brand new PS-2 keyboard in its damaged retail box for 72 cents. Local Big Lots closing down, 70% off everything. Not much left. Just as well I only found out today, otherwise I would have been hoarding more stuff I "need".

    Chip Gracey and Parallax fixing the Norse gods. I like it. Do you think Vlatari would speak C or Spin?
  • I have about 5 of those Railroad whistles. My kids would not take them with them. Now they wish they had them as they are having kids of their one.
    New (old) Christmas presents. :)
  • That's exactly the same Fluke multimeter that I have been using for years.

    Wait, is that a piece of Hitchbot in the back row? :)

    Only if you went to Philadelphia searching for "souvenirs".
  • I don't see the stars and stripes skivvies, or are they in use.
  • Thank you for visiting and supporting our economy!!!

    I think the skivvies are under his whistle...so to speak...
  • I like the blocks of walnut. Are those from Chip pruning his orchard?

    @MikeDYur,

    My star spangled skivvies are there.

    @mindrobots,

    Quite possibly I did support your economy. Most of that stuff comes from China mind.

    @David Betz,

    It was a bit more than pruning that had been going on. Whole sale replacement of old trees as far as I can tell. If you want walnut Chip is your man, he has tons of it.

    Now, what's the best way to power that 110v Hako iron from 230 volts?

    I'm surprised erco didn't get you one of these,

    No way would you pass inspections, and your own country might have you drawn up on charges.
