Only one problem, I hate Ubuntu almost as much as Windows.
Just now I have my beloved Debian running in Virtual Box. Only it shows up so small on this high res screen as to be unusable. Perhaps I can find a fix for that.
And there is cygwin. Which gets most of what one needs in a working computer.
By the way, this Surface Pro is pretty slick. Excellent screen, excellent camera, very light like a tablet and yet it is more of a PC than my old Debian PC box. GPU is a bit slow though. And it's not exactly cheap.
I recall assembling my own PC back in the early 90's. 386 33MHz, Motherboard, 40MB HDD, 16MB? Dram. Each item cost close enough to $1800 each!!! The VGA 19" monitor cost ~$2800. All prices were wholesale too!
