    Have I just seen the future?

    Luckily I'm not going to live long enough to have to suffer much of it.

    Did you eat some bad fugu too? :}

    I had some in Tokyo many moons ago. Very bland taste (except for the sauces and seasonings). Not worth the risk.

    No. I try not to eat any foreign muck.

    Thing is, statistically I'm much closer to the end of the human life span than the beginning.

    Luckily I was born in time to witness the peak of human achievement, putting man on the moon.

    After that it's all down hill. Over population. Exhausted resources. War. Famine. I'm out of here.

    How about in the rain? On a train? In a box? With a fox?

    You might enjoy the new Dan Brown movie "Inferno" later this year, add it to your bucket list. A "brilliant" geneticist, concerned with overpopulation, creates a new plague to help out. As usual, it's a race against time as Robert Langdon and a brilliant, beautiful girl jet around the world trying to thwart his nefarious plot. Pure Hollywood. I found the book somewhat anti-climactic, but I'll bet the movie will be spicier.
  • Erco, if I spend my retirement savings on stuff you recommend, can I come live with your family in my dotage?

    Uh, sure. The more the merrier. Just wait for me at the Los Angeles bus station. Watch for my Corvair, I'll be in touch!
  • Dude! I just knew I could depend on you! The buying binge begins. (Um, you wouldn't mind also erecting some additional storage space for my collection, would you?)

    Thank you so much!
