I have one of these devices http://www.ebay.com/itm/401088562091?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT and also a PropPlug. I am trying to connect to one of these devices http://propellerpowered.com/forum/index.php?topic=230.0 via serial (I can connect via web browser but many of the commands must be done using AT. I have tried a couple different terminal programs with no luck. I am not sure if it is wiring or what but since I only have one of these devices I want to be sure it is correct. I have TX/RX crossed on the devices. What I need to know is what is the best way to connect these to a bread board? I am using USB power from my laptop and am not sure if that is enough or not. Can someone please draw up a quick schematic of how each device should connect to a breadboard? I have breadboard power adapters and if that is my issue I can fix it but I want to make sure I do it correctly. I have to go in the hospital for surgery on the 21st and will be in there for almost a week afterwards and I want to mess with this device and also the ESP8266 WIFI devices (hopefully they will be here in time). However, I do not want to spend the entire time trying to figure out how to connect to them!!!! Thanks for the help.

I found the manual referenced at PropellerPowered.com - http://www.lillyelectronics.com/download/USR-WIFI232-X-V4.5_en.pdf
There's a wiring diagram on page 20 that also shows RTS and CTS connected.
Here is the manufacture website which has software - http://www.usriot.com/products/serial-to-wifi/
It's hard to see what signals go to the small header on your FTDI board.
