It's likely to happen. At my daughter's college I saw a vending machine called SHOP24 that was essentially an automated convenience store. It was a PnP machine with a touch screen.

Robot's may take the orders, even cook the food, but it's going to take a human to clean up afterwards, just to make sure it's done right.
