Let me fix that link for you: http://www.tekpower.us/

The 830B multimeters can be also be found on ebay for around $3 - $3.50 free shipping. They are OK multimeters, I have lots of them, spread around in my various locations. There's also an 830D model which adds sound (although a very scratchy sound) to the diode tester.
  • I have one like this and the probes are total cr*p. I do have some $10 ones from Aldi which are surprisingly good quality with thermocouples too. Spend a bit more and get a decent one. I got a much better one than that as a bonus gift from Tronixlabs the other day.

Probes failed on one of my DT830B dmms, the others are actually fine. Got a new set of probes in the local shop, very low cost. The dmm itself is fine, no need to go much higher in price just to be more certain of getting good probes (the problem with that single set was simply that the wires came loose). Although I 'upgraded' to one 830D though..

Heck, I'm not even erco anymore. Tonyp12 has out-erco'ed me with his confounded and fantastic deals on Staples' laptops and Best Buy powerbanks!
