It looks like there are over 1100 companies competing. I followed the "click here for more information" link to get to the main page. There's some links there to see all the companies. There's no leader board or any other vote information unless you click on an individual company.

Yeap, definitely no leaderboard. I wish there was one, but it seems like LameStation is doing fairly well from a random sample of educational companies. =P
My high school (Sweden) for students of age 12.5-15.5yrs had metal lathe and gas welding equipment.
A few hours week for the first month for everyone, after that you select and the girls selected dance & theater or French.
Project 1 was a 2way door buzzer with 3 led (yes soldering iron) to show come-in, away or buzzy.
2nd project a dc-motor from scratch.
Yes, a friend of mine in Finland showed me a circuit for something or other that he had built in school some decades before. Certainly there was soldering going on there.
Oh, yeah. For all you guys who are following LameStation through this contest, I'd like to cordially invite you to check out the new LameStation forum. =D Lemme know what you think!
I just wanted to let you guys know. I've been tracking statistics on the link and it looks like 30% of all votes on this contest so far have come from the Parallax forums! I just want to say thank you to you guys for supporting me up to this point!
Keep 'em coming, there's about a week left in the contest!
#327 - their 24 clock instead of a per calendar day limit is really hard to work with. But, it is what it is!
Go Lamestation!!!
Very annoying indeed! I didn't know that when I voted at 11am yesterday! I was quite consistently voting every day first thing when I got to work... now I have to remember around lunch time
Thanks guys!! You've been a huge help so far! We only have until Tuesday. Make sure to post it on your Facebook accounts and tell everyone you know to vote!
Here is some of what you are supporting with your contribution. It's nearing the end of the semester, and the kids' work on Snake is winding down. Here is one of the first finished ones to come out of this pilot class.
I'll be posting a video when more come in!

Snake was the first game I saw that I felt had a strong progression to it. It guess it was how that progress was integral to the gameplay. The pong games never quite did it for me.

Nice choice there Brett!
Thanks, @evanh! I always liked having Snake on my old Nokia brickphone, and when it came time to actually start creating game tutorials, Snake was actually easier than Pong to create, so it was a natural choice. =P

I like your forum software a lot. What is it?
Hi David, it's NodeBB. It's my favorite forum software ever. It even uses Markdown for the markup!
