simple ide terminal constants

Does anyone have a couple of examples of using the simple ide terminal constants so as to manipulate the screen.
“Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.”
“You only live twice:
Once when you are born
And once when you look death in the face”
