  • I saw that link in another thread and yes it is very nice. I'm not sure how he is doing the keyboard as it seems he is using individual buttons but I know making a keyboard isn't cheap so hopefully he has a nice way of doing it.

I'd like to do something like this with P2 when it's released although I could probably have a go at it using a couple of P1s plus my Tachyon O/S running network and file system stuff etc as it supports multiple SD cards and open files. I think I should just build something close to this design in the meantime just for the fun of it. Anyone know of any suitable displays I could use?

Yes, very impressive piece of design.
There was another recent thread on this, that search seems unable to find...

That design uses SSD1963 + MIPs, so it may be possible to do a 2 x P2 equivalent, and a 1 x P2 variant with lower specs.
  • Very nice! I've been watching this on TheBackShed.

I think the keys are actually flat. He just routed out the side and bottom edges so that they flex along the top edge.

Yes, 3 edges are routed and then a thin laminate layer is used between that Flex Layer and the landing layer.
He said it works best with some glue added, and there were also comments about dirt.
I wondered if carefully placed stitching vias could improve dirt tolerance, by giving dirt somewhere to go.
