I could C sneaking a Ruby or Perl into my pocket but a Python is a BASIC Brain* Scheme. I wonder if he was on PHP ? He certainly was not very Swift in his get away.
Considering the family-friendly nature of these forums, I urge all involved with this thread to watch their level of innuendo and the use of profanity.
This thread will be monitored, and moderated if necessary.
I do appreciate the need to keep order and decorum on the forum.
On the other hand I cannot sympathize with the automatic blanking of "bad words". For sure our children know all the bad words about the same time as they learn to speak. Probably they know more bad words than we do.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that it's all to do with context and intent. A word on it's own has no meaning.
As for "innuendo" I don't know. I was brought up on Benny Hill, the "Carry on... " movies and Monty Python. It's called humour.
Should we sanitize everything and deny our children of such an education?
Keep it off these forums, please. Our stance on profanity and non-PG material is clearly outlined in our rules – and it applies to clever witticisms and puns, too.
I'll be sinking this thread to help remove the temptation to argue moderation limits and application. Thank you for following our posted rules and guidelines.
