Adafruit 2.8" TFT LCD with Spin code

Has anybody used this display 2.8"TFTLCD The chips are the ILI9341 but the code in the obex does not seem to work. This is a second hand request, I'm not the user but a tech at Adafruit.
Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
