Basic Stamp DS1620 Heat Sensor: How do I program this?

I am in a robotics competition where I must sense the temperature in a box and if it is in a certain range then the robot has to stop for one second and flash a red LED light and then keep moving. I have no idea how to program this sensor. Someone please help! Thank you!
