Scribbler 2 Availablity
S2's are going to get hard to find. I just got the last one from Pololu:
https://www.pololu.com/product/1610
I ordered something else, so I thought to combine shipping.
MCM Electronics seems to have a few:

and Parallax only has 39 left:

These Reds may disappear forever:

I should find a blue so I can have a set!
Upon that day, I will lay down the green or the plastic for the Green one!
I remember Ken saying that it had an exposed hacker port. And I think I remember rechargeable batteries ???
Anything else that anyone knows of ?

You can read through this thread:

I wonder if the schematic is locked down yet ? I'd love it see it.

Looks like lots of goodies in there. I just hope the price is reasonable.
I would have liked more digital I/O pins on the hacker port, but I guess 6 is okay.
I mean, it's a robot, not a development platform.

I just got a like-new blue for $15 on Ebay. And there is no shortage of new S2's on Ebay.
I think a late add for S3 should be a levitating speaker, as long as we have to wait.
And another. And...

Good score!
Gee, why hasn't this on sold?

Sadly, that one looks like my Corvair's equivalent in the Scribbler world...
$69, free ship

Not the best price, but there are 10 new one available.
Who will nab this one? Who will rise to the challenge?

There's that pesky "need" word creeping into robot conversations again. Quite peculiar!!

Q1: $179? Wasn't it $99 originally? How much will S3's be?
Q2: I don't see an "End of Life/Last Chance" announcement on that page. Should there be one? Will Parallax make more?
A1b: if you need to ask.......
Q1 is actually 2 questions but I'm sure you just got excited when faced with surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise....
These have not moved. I guess nobody has serial ports or a USB-Serial converter.
They should provide a link to theParallax Converter.
More likely, people have enough enough sense to not pay $105 when they are available for half that much!
Especially when $59 buys an S2: http://www.ebay.com/itm/162023353102
Somebody better wise up and buy that S2 before my mouse finger gets itchy. I done warned you!
Yours is Red,
Mine is Blue.
Mine is original.
Not something new.
