The 3.0 upgrade popup when you start it is a paid upgrade. When I followed the instructions exactly, my old key no longer works and it says my trial has expired, so I am unable to use the software.

Just a heads up.

If you are upgrading from a paid version like 2.4, you will need to pay for the upgrade to 3.0. We get free upgrades within a major version like 2.x, but when we upgrade to a newer major version we need to pay to get a new license key. For example for me to upgrade from 2.4 standard edition (1000 pins), it will cost $99 to get the 3.0 standard edition.

I have no issue paying to upgrade. My only issue is that the way it popped up made no indication that it was a paid upgrade (I just purchased the software 5 or 6 months ago), and that it overwrote my existing version, and then locking me out because my 'trial' had expired. On Friday afternoon (of course).

They came through.

To be completely fair, I have had a couple interactions with Diptrace and they have been exceedingly prompt and professional. The glitch cost me a few hours, but I was pleased to get a response so late on Friday.

The software itself is growing on me.
