Electrical Characteristics of Smart Pins

I ran into an issue having to do with hooking up a PropCam to the P2v. Two of the pins, which output from the PropCam go through 680 Ohm resistors. Signals can be seen by the Propeller Activity Board, but not the P2v, using pinsetm. I have kludged a solutions for the P2v by pulling the pins high through a 58 Ohm resistor.

Why is this?
