Has anyone worked with the BNO055 around here?

I recently bought a BNO055 sensor unit which contains an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a few other sensors on it. From what I've read, it uses the I2C protocol to communicate with other chips. Unfortunately, since I am rather unfamiliar with I2C, any attempts I've made to get data out of the sensor have returned nothing. Has anyone been working with the chip and could recommend an object, code or other information to start getting this sensor to work? Thanks!

    Maybe I'm just missing something then, since all I found was someone discussing errors with their sign bits. I can't even get anything out of the sensor to begin with.
