I see $5 for the book and $7 shipping, still $12. Probably worth every penny, I just hate spending more for postage than the cost of an item. Once again, just how Amazon and other big sellers offer free shipping is beyond me. The twins got Razor E90 electric scooters for Christmas. $67 each, free ship from Amazon. Giant, heavy boxes came fast via UPS. I'd pay at least $67 if I had to mail them somewhere.

In a related story, an Ebay entrepreneur is selling his used TTL data manual for $77 + $7 shipping. If he got that for 10 cents, he's the smartest one here and should have got more! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ttl-Logic-Data-Book-Texas-Instruments-Good-Book-/331745018696

Call me crazy but I'll sell mine to any loyal forumista here for less than that. First $70 takes, free ship. Won't last!

A friend of mine has a complete set of TI data books, in hard back, dating from the 1970's. I forget how many volumes. They don't make 'm like that any more.
  • Back when TI was selling the data books for 10 cents, I though about buying a bunch to resell later on ebay. I doubt I would have tried for $77 though. Anyway, if I'd bought extra copies I'd probably still have them. I have an entire set of shelves full or stuff I keep meaning to put on ebay, but never seem to get around to doing it.

I've got the hard-cover edition of TI's TTL data book. 'Got it free from Almac-Stroum Electronics in Seattle back in the '70s. 'Still refer to it from time to time.

My hard cover is from 1977 embossed on the front cover, "TI Supply" . not sure if it can direct or through a distributor.
  • Got my Analog Hard Copy today. Gee, it came from Thief Rivers Falls. Looks like Digikey is doing the fulfillment. The book was shipped in a nice big ANTISTATIC bag. Couldn't they reduce some cost and don't put it a bad and send it USPS. Jezz. :)

  • On a somewhat related note, I noticed The Art of Electronics revision 3 was just released in April. I've never read a TAoE, but I'm excited to read a version released less than a year ago, for a book that's been so popular for decades.

No problem bringing it up again to remind old brain cells here. :)
