    I own some Technic and the NXT set which my son and I have done projects with. I vastly prefer scratch building from aluminum, plywood, and hobby servos.

    I ask because Lego was having a great sale on older Lego electronics.

    I should have a sale on older Mindstorms. I have a computer vision kit from 10 years ago I've never used. And a bunch of vintage VEX stuff too.

    I note that there have been almost NO discounts or sales on the Mindstorms line this year.

    And few new offerings...are robots dying out?

    In reference to older robo stuff like Vex and Mindstorms, when does one decide to part ways with it?
