Interesting. Says "1-meter module", doesn't say 38 kHz. Have to take a closer look. Obviously designed for short-range data communication, might have some robot sensor applications. But at $5 for 4 parts, unless it has some stellar advantages, it costs ten times what a 38 kHz module + IR LED does. Not to mention the latter has 10+meter range and is all sorted (sordid?) out already.

Probably not 38 khz, but are IrDa. Could not find any code in OBEX, so you may just pass on these.
