A while back, OldBitCollector (Jeff Ledger aka OBC) and Roadster, came up with the MicroMite Companion (MMC) single board computer, which was a modification of OBC's Propeller Micro Computer which added a PIC32MX170 for the BASIC engine. The Propeller acted as a graphics terminal to the very powerful PIC32 chip running Geoff Graham's MicroMite BASIC.
Roadster re-released the MCC recently with a few upgrades and some missing features built into it. He now has these available from his new website. It is a really fun retro BASIC platform and the combination of the Propeller as a smart terminal and the increasingly powerful MictoMite BASIC engine has worked out really well. These are two projects that when combined have really shown the strengths of each and create something greater than the sum of its parts!
It's also a fun kit to build for anyone that still likes to sit down with a pile of components and an hours time and solder something up!
