¥$ problem in Propeller Tool

Maybe it is an omen; every time I type $ in Propeller Tool, I get ¥$, and then I have to delete the ¥.
It has not always been like that, but for a long time, don't recall when. I thought I'd just get used to it, but then I am using hex notation more and more, and it is becoming a nuisance.
Any idea?

I'm running Win7.

Damn unicode strikes again. I swear unicode should be banned from anything you want to work reliably.

Sorry but I have no sensible suggestion. It's is no doubt something to with the viking set up you have there:)

No never. I've got English Windows 7, set up to use English. But there is no getting away from using Norwegian keyboard layout, with our additional æøå Viking letters. When I switch to English keyboard layout, the dollar is no longer on the 4 key, but somewhere else.
I believe it is a bit over the top to get a separate English layout keyboard for when I do Propeller programming.
