This news is too doggone good to be confined to the Robotics forum. Boebot (4) & Sumobot (9) made RT's Great Bots for Beginners. I suppose including the S1/S2/S3 or Activitybot would have made the results too lopsided.

The wired remote control works fine though. Of course it's a 5-axis arm. Too bad no one sells the Armatron any more. Full 6-axis arm, only one motor, two speeds on 4 axes. A marvel of electromechanical design, still worthy of study.

Some people just have excellent brain waves. My own are rather dubious. :sick:
I think the Sumobot is wonderful and often overlooked. One doesn't have to remain in the mini-class and struggle with the class restraints, bigger Sumobots can do a heck of a lot more to defeat an opponent.
