My Greek site about Parallax ELEV-8

Hello all,
11222108_10153576814819137_2682605868369701169_n.jpg?oh=f7ce83f7ef277aaacee5f26bda34148d&oe=568040F3

After the assembly of my ELEV-8 I decided to make a site to explain all in Greek and addd my experiences from that amazing aerial robot. I'm totally new user of something like that, I had not idea from transmitters etc. But ELEV-8 makes me to love it more and more day by day!

Here is my first review on Greek language.

I hope that site will be the source of information for my students upcoming ELEV-8 projects.
I have also translate the assembly guide till the step 24, and I'm trying to edit all the videos from the assembly procedure.

For those who want to try the AT-9 radiolink transmitter I'll have some very cool information...

  • Nikos,

    Welcome to the ELEV-8 club!

The AT-9 looks like a very affordable nine channel transmitter! Will it do both Mode 1 and 2?

    That AT-9 looks nice.

The links to the translated PDFs are opening the icon as an image.

The authentic text of the guide assembly of the ELEV-8 on the website of Parallax. For friends who may have difficulty doing a shorter assembly guide translated into Greek, which is located here:PDF-300x300

Something is going on with the bold part.

Nikos: Now what would Apollo Epicurius think if your Elev-8 buzzed his temple inside the tent at Bassae? One of my favorite stops in my whirlwind driving tour of Ellada.

Thank you Publison! I' m real excited with ELEV-8!
Yes. The At-9 has both Mode1 and Mode 2.
It has also some very interesting extras like telemetry abilities.
Please give me some time and I'll explain all on my next posts!

Thank you Whit! I came back to the forum after a very strange and interesting Summer!
I'm trying to organize all my robotic activities as the ELEV-8 has stole my mind!

Full translated pdf is not ready yet! (so the link is not working)
Please give me some time to finish the entire translation and you 'll have a perfect assembly guide in Greek!

Erco! you are always reading my mind!
One of my thoughts is to make an aerial video using ELEV-8 filming a famous Greek ancient monument!
    Something like this:

I have already a camera for the ELEV-8, and and I'm going to mAke an adapter for that using my 3d Printer. However I don't feel sure for my my flying abilities yet!

That's a beautiful temple at Cape Sounion, that was a must-see spot on my trip. The columns there have fewer flutes than most other temples, supposedly to last longer in such close proximity to the ocean.

Lord Byron carved his initials therein, Lord Elgin stole the Parthenon Marbles, those 18th century Brits showed no respect!

I've biked around Sicily several times. Some of the Greek temples there (and in Paestum, south of Napoli) are actually in better shape than those in Greece.

I own a lot of PBS travel DVDs shot in HD from a helicopter: Visions of Italy, Germany, France, Sicily, Greece, etc. Camera drones are surely making a dent in the helicopter camera business.
