Forum issue or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

After opening the General Discussion forum without signing in I can see 3 threads having had action on August 5.

After signing in I see 7 threads having had action on August 5.

Did it 3 times with the same result. Are my eyes playing tricks on me?

In theory if you are not logged in then there should be no threads showing action.

The server should not have any knowledge, when you visit, whether that is your first visit or one of many or what your read on a last visit.

On the other hand it's common for many forums to show lots of 'activity' when you visit when not logged in. It's either that, or the other variant I see here and there - that there's no activity, just a lot of already-read threads.
In short, only expect meaningful activity tracking when logged in (although not everything is working in this forum - yet).

Edit: I just clicked 'Recent Discussions' with an anonymous window - all threads appear to be unread. Which is fair, I guess.
