There is a new Tutorial, (work in progress) at:
https://www.parallax.com/news/2015-07-09/now-available-preview-whats-multicore-microcontroller-chapters-1-6
It does not specifically address the LM34, but there is code to read the ADC on the Activity Board that can read the LM34.Hope that helps.
