Windows 10 release !

Hi guys,
Couple of people called our tech support team wondering whether the release of Windows 10 will affect any of our software, products, etc. I thought about sharing this for other people with the same concern.
Our software engineer Jeff Martin, confirmed that we don't anticipate our products having any issue with UEFI hardware, and historically our BASIC Stamp and Propeller software has continued to work just fine with new releases of Windows. However, In the past, we've had to make many more updates to software related to Windows Updates than we ever had to make related to a major new release of Windows.
We do not think the new release will affect us, but Windows 10 could be a different story. Therefore we won't really know the effect until it's officially released, and we will always be testing and watching for issues that customers may report in hopes to fix problems as soon as possible if they do occur.
Respectfully

Heater, did you read the first post in the thread?! It contains a quote from Jeff Martin that says they don't anticipate any problems with Windows 10. It makes sense that you are commenting on punctuation and not the content of the message since you have no interest in using Windows.
In the past, we've had to make many more updates to software related to
Windows Updates than we ever had to make related to a major new release
of Windows. "
Yes, it is those updates that really drive us crazy.
Heater might try to limit his comments to what is helpful rather than slamming all he dislikes. It gets a bit tiresome and predictable.
I deleted my preview a couple months ago and now I can't download the ISO for desktop (due to roll out prep).
The chances of something not working in 10 that work on 7 are very slim, we're talking about practically the same thing.

I think Heater was just asking a question, not "slamming" Windows.
However I don't recall seeing any "Debian 8 release!" announcements around here. "we don't anticipate our products having any issue with systemd"
It's not a Parallax product to announce.
It just struck me as a content free announcement.

From the title I was initially expecting more, however kudo's for someone thinking outside of the box and heading off what will likely be a moderate number of calls/posts. Maybe make it a sticky for the next year?
"we don't anticipate our products having any issue ....", "We do not think the new release will affect us, but Windows 10 could be a different story. Therefore we won't really know the effect until it's officially released, "
Obviously.
"we will always be testing and watching for issues that customers may report in hopes to fix problems as soon as possible if they do occur."
Obviously.
Maybe it would have been better if someone had actually taken the time get in the Insider Program and do some testing on the builds. Then the announcement/post, could have been somewhat more useful.
Actually, seems like a gross oversight to have not been testing that already.
Indeed we are still doing further testing, most importantly when Windows 10 is officially released as it will open the door to much more possibilities when it is accessible to all our customers. And will have an updated post/comment about the issues that customers might ran into and how to fix them.
We are basically, keeping our Parallax forums community in the loop about this matter, and for the people who commented saying they will be doing some testing; that is awesome! And any feedback about it will be much appreciated.
