Forum Issue: "cancel" a comment

Occasionally, I start typing a comment on a thread, then think better of it. At that point, the forum has auto-saved what I have typed. And I cannot figure out any way to clear the comment box out. Even if I delete everything, a refresh of the page just re-fills the comment box with the last auto-save value.
The comment box needs a "cancel" button that clears out the box and the auto-save contents.

A "cancel" button would be nice. In the mean time we can delete all the text in the box and hit "Save Draft".
I'm not sure why the edit box is displayed when you are just reading the page. Why not keep it hidden until one hits a "Comment" button?

Seairth, you could go to the left where it says "My Drafts" and delete the draft that it saved. That should clear the contents if I'm not mistaken.
I tried that. It doesn't work. It seems that the "save draft" is ignored if the box is entirely empty.

Thanks for pointing that out! At least there's a workaround. A more direct solution is still necessary, but this is a good start.
note to others: I've discovered that if you do not currently have any drafts, the "My Drafts" link will not be visible. It is only after you refresh the page that you will see it (assuming your comment box was auto-saved).
Yes, please. The "My Drafts" approach is very cumbersome.
Incidentally, it looks like this can be done with a simple generated link. The "delete" button on the "my drafts" page is a simple link, with a "target" attribute. it "target" is the thread url, it appears to redirect the page correctly. In other words, the following URL would delete the draft version of this comment and return to this page:

(In hindsight, though, I don't know how you would get the codes at the end of the delete url.)
My vote - Yes!
