Forum Issue: Old YouTube Links

It appears not all the video links have not been transferred to the new forum correctly.
When I attempt to play a video in my Popsicle stick hexapod thread, I get the following error:
"An error occurred. Please try again later.Learn More"
I'm only finding these problems in older threads. Recent threads appear to have video links converted properly. Another example of a bad video link can be found in this thread about magnetic encoders.
The old links appear to include some extra text as part of the video tag. Here's an example of an old tag:
[vide0=y0utube_share;9GJqUxucG8s]http;//y0utu.be/9GJqUxucG8s[/vide0]
While a more recent video has a tag like this:
[vide0=y0utube;f520FM9Z9is]https;//www.y0utube.c0m/watch?v=f520FM9Z9is[/vide0]
I couldn't figure out a way to keep the forum software from parsing the video links so I changed "o"s to zeros and changed colons to semi-colons.
I think it's pretty clear the older video links are different than the more recent links. Hopefully it won't be hard to fix these older links.

From what I can see, the link (with/without https) is still working. The forum software improperly adds [/video] to the actual URL. This happens to both the video and the poster image. In the case of the latter, the forum inserts [/video] right in the middle (spaces added to prevent link forming):
http : // img.youtube.com/vi/9GJqUxucG8s[/video]/0. jpg
YouTube deprecating old links?! Never. This is Google we're talking about.
-Phil
Yep, I'm sure. I just cut and pasted an old link in the browser window and it worked.
This link:
is the same one used on this page:
http://forums.parallax.com/discussion/137597/quickstart-driving-32-servos-video/p1
Edit: I couldn't access the video link by quoting the post. I had to use the edit feature to access the old link.
I wonder, though, if a fix like that can be done "live," or whether all traffic lanes need to be shut down while road repairs are made.
-Phil
At this time, I think that shutting down traffic lanes to improve how this new web site design
works would be ok with me and others.
Please do whatever can be done, in whatever time format is needed.
I like learning about Parallax products and all other products.
This forum is a very valuable research tool.
It would be nice to know if things are shut down; when, where, why and about how long they
will be shut down.
thanks
I will add this to our issue tracker for further investigation.
Three of Duane's Youtube links don't work, but many others do. Could it be that Duane use the abbreviated Youtu.be addresses and those bombed out? I never use those and my videos on that page work OK.
Here's what the tags for a non-working video look like."[v ideo=y outube_share;h03Dk9WyG68]h ttp://y outu.be/h03Dk9WyG68[/v ideo]"
The URL used in the faulty embedded video works when used by itself.
