Where's the "jump to last (most recent) post" icon?

Oh, just figured it out. Click on the time under the "last poster" icon.
Not very intuitive IMO.

Each time I click on a thread link after reading it once, it takes me to the first new post automatically.

If your link includes #latest then it will automatically take you to the last post. There are some bugs with that, though:
