Precision Freq. Counter

This is sort of a repost. I've been trying to readout frequency on the low end with a couple of decimal places such as 120.13 hertz or 1134.22 hertz just as examples. The highest frequency should be around 2500-3000 hz. I can read 1 hertz, 2 hertz, 300 hertz, etc. no problem. I know I will require a fast clock to slice all these decimal frequencies within a 1-2 second sample rate.

PropBasic: Reciprocal Frequency Counter (0.5Hz to 40MHz) 40MHz now !!!
( However, I'm not sure where/how you find that in the new forum...)

Two decimal digits to 3KHz will .need only > ~ 500Khz Clk.
With a 80Mhz clock, you should resolve to ~ 40pHz at 3KHz
Addit: I think is was thread 123170, but 'new forum' cannot get there, in present broken state..
