New forum having trouble with CODE boxes - can't determine screen width

It does not determine my screen width and lets the CODE boxes go as wide as they need to - the scroll bar along the bottom becomes very large! I don't think you should go beyond my screen width (especially on a 17" screen).

This is on Firefox 38.0.5 on Fedora 22 Linux

    Can you give a more specific code posting ?The ones I checked here looked ok (Chrome)

    Interesting. I can reproduce the problem on Firefox as well, but on Chrome it displays line wraps just fine (except for the ugly yellow code box background).

    It appears to be a Firefox thing (HTML5-ish standards?)

    Chrome works much better.

    I can't test Internet Exploder - it doesn't run on my computer.
