Elev-8 Y-6 Dual Batteries Harness

I am building the Elev-8 Y6.
And bump on the Dual Batteries Harness part

On page 17 of the manual. https://www.parallax.com/sites/default/files/downloads/80100-ELEV-8-Y-6-Assembly-Guide-v1.0.pdf
We have to use 2 batteries on the Y-6 to get powered the 6 motors.

Is it a good idea in the manual to put two independent lipo's parallel together ?
What if one is weak ? It will discharge on the inner resistor of the other ?
Heat, kill explosion ?

To get better safety, can I bring the upper 3 motors on one battery, and the lower 3 on the otter battery ?
If one battery is lower, I guess I get lesser torque on the 3 rotors. But is the controller happy whit this ?
Is there a issue on the grounding between the two batteries ? The two neg poles are bring together on the controller servo sockets, but I don't expect lot of current here .

=> Safety increase if one battery circuit get short / trouble, i can try to land with half power, and avoid collision versus fling stone.
I have to figure the controller power, like two (shotky) diode on power input from both batteries.
=>Expect to guard the balancing-charged lipo's on better condition

Need advice

Thanks

Daniel
