Interesting concept for police security. Appears to work well in carefully controlled, low adrenaline situations.

    Interesting....

If the stopped car bolts, does the officer pursue and leave the bot behind?

    erco,
    Interesting concept for police security.
"Interesting", only frikken "interesting". Doesn't this kind of idea scare the living daylights out of you?

What kind of sick world are we living in? How sick would you like it to be?

Whatever happened to "Good evening officer how can I help you?".

"Certainly sir, could you blow into this bag for us?"

No, when the state and it's army, the police, are waging war against it's own population they will not dare to get near you, never mind face to face.

What happens if you try to maintain you dignity and humanity, refuse to deal with a robot and get out of the car to walk back and speak to them?

Do they then just gun you down as being uncooperative and highly suspicious?

    ED209 is on his way.

    What Heater said,

Also it will make people hate cops even more and see them as total stooges and cowards who can't even be bothered to talk to the people who they are supposed to serve. At least here in the U.S. the police don't really have a good image anymore, this will just make it worst.

And in no time that little robot will be wielding a taser and then a shotgun to deal with non-compliant citizens.

Even Orwell couldn't concoct such a nightmare. But some dudes who design robots did.

Is this what they're only claiming, or has that been proven to be the case in actual use?

I ask because I can see how it would turn a low adrenaline situation into a much higher one.
