BS2 send data

Has anyone used the bluetooth module to send data from a BS2 to and android or apple device? I need to send serial data from my BS2 to a smart phone or tablet. I can get the LCD display to display and have been able to convert metric to feet and inches but sending data is giving me problems. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

This project is sending data from the Android device to the BS2, but the concept is the same. You could send data back to the Android Device. The application just has to be ready to receive it and know what to do with it.

I've been doing lots of work with the Bluetooth module and the Propeller -- the great thing is that it's just serial data. And -- as Chris points out -- your Android app has to know what to do with the data. I've been using MIT Android Inventor 2 for my apps, though most of them are from the app to the Propeller, not the other way around.

Not sure why...I just clicked the link and it works for me (from Parallax HQ in Rocklin). What is the error you're getting?
