Robots are a lot of fun.
Robots that stream video over WiFi are even more fun!

Today Ive updated my Elf Raspberry Pi based robots build log with instructions on:
adding a Raspberry Pi Camera
adding MJPG-Streamer so Elf streams what he sees over WiFi
adding a ramdisk for MJPG-Streamer so it wont wear out the SD card
I hope you enjoy the Elf blog, and please feel free to ask any questions!

Next I will get h.264 streaming working for higher resolution and frame rates... then I will add a compass to RoboPi on Elf, so that I can navigate better.
Wifey does not know yet, but I am sorely tempted by lidar modules...

Hmm... maybe a subtle hint suggesting it as a Christmas present...
Subtle? I leave a detailed list...
Father's Day, Groundhog's Day, Thanksgiving.. Whatever it takes! And check with erco again - he probably has a source on a cheaper one now!
Good luck!
Thank you, that is a great idea.
1296x972 @ 24fps
High latency though (2 sec)

Now I need to reduce the latency...
