    make sure you don't have space after the brackets
    Why is there no direct- image post available?

    Thanks, Tony! So there can be no space between the sets of brackets or just following the last set?

    I always put the img tags and the image link on the same line without any spaces.

    You can use "Reply With Quote" to see what Tony typed to get the picture to display.

    Thanks, Tony, Phil, & Duane!
    I'll try another picture here and see if I can get it right.

    I hope you're going to post some information about your cool robot.

    Yes I will, I am in the process of cleaning up the ExpressSCH schematics so they don't look like a New Jersey road map. Then maybe a few more pics (now that I have mastered posting them) and get the thing up on the projects page. Eventually I will move all the wiring and components off the prototype board and onto a Quickstart expansion board. I'm very reluctant to solder a lot of stuff onto the Project board.

    Thanks for the interest!

    @tonyp12

    When we reverted to this old version of the forums, image embedding for posts was lost. We have no current plans to investigate or fix the issue, as a forum rework is pending.

    Hello!
    Hal, what are we looking at? It looks like a bot named after a fighter aircraft's favorite missile nickname who's supporting his own display.I,mean what exactly makes him special? I mean besides the incredibly obvious.

    The photo is from post #1. Tony was just showing how to insert the photo into a post. The photo was originally posted by Hal.

    It is indeed. I should have checked that. Thanks and I edited the post to say that and added something else. Oh and that method fixed my display problems for showing Smoky to all of you.

    Good Morning, Buck!
    I nicknamed my bot Slammer because of his propensity to "slam" into furniture legs before his sonar array is able to "see" them. Apparently I have not given enough thought and code into obstacle avoidance coupled with the rather narrow sound cone these cheap SR04 units use. My test range is rather fraught with tall, spindly legged plant stands and several old-fashioned rocking chairs, all of which seem to be sonic "black holes", sucking up the pulses rather than reflecting them in a meaningful way. I may need to add two more SR04's to cover the void between the center sensor in front of the display and the two diagonal pointing ones, since this area seems to attract multiple table leg attacks.
